Rattles and rants
Superman duane told me just the other day that life is never fair, which is why we need to make it fair for ourselves.
At times I wonder why I need to compensate for her inability. At times I have to demise my strand of negative thoughts and judgment. At times I have to tolerate her sense of idiocy.
But at the end of the day, what will I get out of tolerance and acceptance?
I have my internal debate and endless pondering of whether I should still put in what I’ve got or if I should once again, pack up my feelings and leave.

Plastic bags.
How many do u use a day? And how many of them do u chuck into a bin after getting home? Plastics are non biodegradable – yea, everyone knows that. But imagine if you have to get rid of ur own junk (no more land fills) what are you going to do? Humans are selfish. I believe we are not born that way but we grow into what we are today. Who’s going to take care of your waste?
Refuse a small bag a day, reuse them by putting extras in your own bag so you don have to get a new one. If you refuse 2 bags a day, tats 730 bags a year. Refuse plastic cutleries if you can, bring reusable ones to the office.
Be responsible, today.

Happy birthday nat.
Caught fireworks with u again this year. The last time i did was with u and alvin when he was in town but couldn even spare me a minute of his day to spend time with me. Hobby was more important then i was but i refused to see it that way. This year alvin refused to come down and watch beautiful fireworks with u. Sigh who can we count on but the bestest girlfriends u have?
Love my new shoes. I hope u do too! hahaha. Had lunch with the 3some gang before setting out for my dreadful trip to the bank on sat. Food was AWESOME and gossiping non stop was so much fun. Was rather disappointed when she asked daryl if he got the gift cox i made the effort to wake up 2 hours earlier to get her a gift and card. Was even more hurt when she said i wore her earrings that were meant to be her present (which is stupidly lost in my room, along with my tortise keychain which i just cannot recall where i placed them) i wonder if my 1/2 min of silence (due to shock) incurred any sense of guilt. But then again, why couldn i bring it up and say i felt hurt about what she said?
Demeaning words that friends say shouldn be remembered. But when sacarstic remarks wave beyond the line into insults, what can i say?

Brace yourself. (no not u, her)
It’s finally Friday and I cant wait for the weekends. It’s a jammed pack weekend with catchups with sushi, missing, fang fang, Daryl and my favorite Valerie and vera. On top of that I have to go to the bank and the airport for FRIED CHICKEN (Popeye’s the most awesome chicken you can ever have EVER!)
My fingers hurt from pressing the guitar but still I love it (the guitar not the pain) I just hope I can carve out enough time to practice on it (and dumb-wit-me have been learning the wrong stuff for the past 3 days)
When oh when can I get a Nintendo!

Taking a break from the excruciating G note. I now conclude that rock stars do not go for manicures! Goodbye lovely nails, hello my baby guitar
I was reading an article about the slavery in china about how kids are being abducted, humans treated in a way so horrifying that I think the only way to punish the convicted is to make them go thru the exact same ordeal.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/World/Chinas_slavery_scam_exposed/articleshow/2127136.cms
Isn’t it another reason why we should all love our home country? It’s so much safer and oh lets not go on to the food we have.
The latest CLEO is out! =) oh and speaking of which, there’s a Japanese magazine that I came across when I was doing my hair (believe me 3 hours is a time way too long) and it’s simply awesome! Though the words are in Japanese but there are a gazillion photos of cute jap girls in the latest clothes and in all possible ways of mixing and matching.
And to satisfy the shopping bug that’s infiltrated into my veins, here’s some of the stuff I bought on a spree. They take a mth at least to arrive though =(

I have always thought having the gift (or the program at least) to be able to do graphics is pretty cool. And the momentum people in the ad and media world feel should be as gratifying as it is horrendous. As much as I try to color my life as vibrant as possible, sometimes I still feel that I am not up to it. I guess the atas (this means people who walks with an upward 45 degrees tilted head) people do have something I don’t have huh?
I am cutting down on my consumption of food because I think I am gaining weight again (or have I always been able to convince myself I was always thinner then I am now?) and it’s not something I am proud of.

August!
Natalie’s birthday was fun. I have never really clubbed before and I guess there’s a first time for everything. Ceci’s boob song seems to be stuck in my head, Martell doesn taste so bad, music at loud volumes ain that bad and moving your big fat ass to some music can be pretty amusing HAHA! And for the first time, constant gobbling of alcohol didn get me tipsy.
Thanks nat for buying us drinks and my all time favorite – Mark for being so awesome.

I went to shop for flowers for the office during lunch and came back with a lovely stalk of Blue Hydrangea. I haven really notice them before but they look like a lovely orb of daisy.
Doing recruitment, I happen to see different types of people. The fun energetic ones and the uptight and lazy ones. It makes me wonder why people may sometimes choose to be laid back when they can obviously do better. They have so much in them that if they put in just a little bit more, they could get so much more in return.
A cycle of laziness or sloppy mindset is nothing more but a vicious cycle. You get lazy and you don take care of your own body well, you do the minimum for your work and you get home and do nothing but just lie in bed or on the couch hating the lazy lethargic feeling you have in you. And the next day goes by the same way it did before …
Have you ever considered, getting up earlier, get some healthy breakfast and a workout, work your freaking ass off and gain satisfaction then get home pimp up your lovely house and go to bed all tired but happy. The next day will be refreshed and more vibrant then ever.
Playing the guitar is hard and reading the notes is confusing. Gosh now I am starting to believe I may be a dumb twit after all!
Good article worth reading =)
10 Reasons You're Not Getting Promoted
By Tag and Catherine Goulet, FabJob.com
If you want to move up at work, but you're going nowhere while watching co-workers climb the corporate ladder, it's time to take a hard look at what you might be doing wrong. See if any of the following might be holding you back:
Promotion Killer No. 1: You're a slacker
So what if you sometimes arrive late to work, are the first one out the door at the end of the day, and tend to call in sick on Mondays and Fridays? And it's not your fault you've missed a few deadlines -- you had computer trouble... the instructions weren't clear... you didn't get the help you needed... (insert most recent excuse here)...
Promotion Killer No. 2: You're doing "fine"
You're no slacker. You show up on time and do a fair day's work for a fair day's pay. And that's the problem. Doing work that is "fair," "OK," "adequate," "acceptable" or "fine" may be enough to keep a job, but it's usually not enough to be promoted to a job with more responsibility. If you don't go the extra mile for your employer, don't be surprised if your employer doesn't go the extra mile for you.
Promotion Killer No. 3: You're not visible enough
It's not enough to do a good job; people need to know you have leadership potential. So do what you can to get noticed by the people who have the power to promote you. When something you've worked on goes exceptionally well, write a memo to management praising the team you worked with. You'll get your name out there and be seen as a leader. Make sure you're visible in other ways too, such as volunteering to lead committees, contributing articles to the employee newsletter, coaching the softball team or chairing a volunteer project in your company. You can help your company, your community and your career at the same time.
Promotion Killer No. 4: You're a difficult person
It's good to stand out in the crowd, but not in a negative way. If you are high maintenance, complain a lot, sweat the small stuff and generally make life more difficult for your boss or others in your company, chances are you'll be looking for a job with a new employer before you ever get a chance to move up with your current employer.
Promotion Killer No. 5: You haven't mastered the job you're in
It's surprising how many junior employees perform poorly because they feel the job they're doing is "beneath" them. They figure it doesn't matter if the coffee pot runs dry, the report has a page inserted upside down, there are typos in an e-mail, or they forget to mention that a client called. They feel such tasks are a waste of their time and they could care about work if only they were given bigger and better things to do. All careers require newcomers to pay their dues and if it looks like you can't handle menial tasks, there's no way an employer is going to give you even more responsibility.
Promotion Killer No. 6: Your boss needs you in the job you're in
Yes, you can be too good for your own good. If you are the best assistant your boss has ever had, is it any wonder he doesn't want to lose you? The solution is to find a way for your boss to get what he needs (a great employee) while you get what you want (a promotion). You have already told your boss you want to move up in the company, haven't you? If not, make your intentions clear. Then start looking for ways to find another fabulous employee to replace you and make the transition as easy as possible.
Promotion Killer No. 7: You don't have the right image
In most workplaces, if you believe casual Fridays means you can show up in a tank top, tight shorts and flip flops, it's no wonder you're not being seen as management material. Dress like the people who are working in the position you want to be promoted to. Also learn to "talk the talk" by dropping slang and words such as "like, um, you know" from your workplace vocabulary. In addition, make sure your online image is professional by taking down anything embarrassing such as MySpace photos showing what you do when you've had too much to drink.
Promotion Killer No. 8: You have enemies
Anyone who doesn't like you can make it more difficult for you to get ahead. Co-workers can sabotage your work, but other important people to avoid alienating are those who have the ear of the person who can promote you. If you make an enemy of your boss's assistant or if key customers complain to your boss about you, chances are it will be a long time before you're given more responsibility.
Promotion Killer No. 9: You're competing with superstars
In some industries the reality is that there are far more star employees than positions at the top. If you're in a highly competitive career, you'll need to do an extraordinary job instead of merely an excellent one. Also, be prepared to do more of the other things mentioned in this article to stand out in the crowd and show that you're management material.
Promotion Killer No. 10: Your company isn't in a position to promote you
If you work for a company with a tight budget or low turnover, opportunities to move up may be limited. If a bigger paycheck isn't a possibility, consider asking your boss to acknowledge your work in other ways. For example, a new job title might cost the company nothing more than new business cards, or you may be able to get other benefits such as access to a company parking spot, a larger workspace, a day off, a mentor, educational opportunities or other perks. Be creative and ask for what you want. You might be pleasantly surprised with the result.

We all know a couple like this: After years together they still hold hands, make each other laugh and blush, get along famously, and seem to enjoy a dynamite groove the rest of us envy. But what really goes on behind the scenes? Have these two soulmates actually found their perfect match in this big wide world, or are there secrets and strategies to making sure that romantic spirit continues to flourish over time?
In order to maintain the magic and sustain the spark, happy couples know they must:
Start solid. Remember that best friend you had when you were a kid? Whether blissfully playing side-by-side in the sandbox or building an awesome fort together, you two just grooved on being in each other's presence. Happy couples share that same serendipitous groove, if in the all-grown-up world. Romantic chemistry aside, they genuinely like each other as people and truly enjoy walking down the path of life hand-in-hand.
Keep it fresh. Routines and traditions can give a couple a comforting sense of predictability that's both grounding and reassuring. But surprises and adventures are also essential to really keeping that spark alive. Happy couples make a habit of shaking things up a bit by planning weekend getaways to undiscovered destinations, saving their pennies for a dream vacation, or launching fun and ambitious projects together. Having exciting things on the calendar to look forward to and sharing new adventures together reaffirms their connectedness and refuels the romance.
Clear the air. It's perfectly natural for any couple to encounter frustrations, disappointments, and miscommunications from time to time. But if grievances go unaired, they can pile up to a mountain of resentment and put the relationship at risk. Happy couples make sure they keep the communication open, and navigate those inevitable rough spots with honesty and mutual respect. If any issues should arise that seem too big or too complex to resolve between the two of them, they'll schedule some sessions with a couples therapist to help them safely weather the storm.
Have a life. A healthy relationship consists of two individuals who each maintain a strong sense of themselves and take a genuine interest in the other. One may decide to go back to school to pursue a higher degree, while the other may get involved in a volunteer project or a photography workshop. Maintaining individual identities and pursuing individual interests ensures that there'll always be new things to share and to learn about each other.
Tune it up. Whether it be once a month or once a year, a regularly scheduled sit-down can allow for some essential upkeep and maintenance of a healthy relationship. Happy couples may agree to a periodic summit meeting to check in with one another about the overall well-being of their partnership. They may discuss what they've been appreciating about one another, what dynamics could use some tweaking, and what is on the horizon for their future as a couple. A little preventative TLC from time to time helps keep those relationship engines running smoothly.

BAH haven had time to blog much.
I couldn find THE CRASH CD at HMV (of all horrids) and was quite disappointed cox I know HMV in Japan has it. Darn.
Class is starting next week and well, I wldn exactly say I truly enjoyed my holiday cox work kinda makes me STILL FEEL tired. It’s a little bit scary actually how work stress can bring me horrifying headaches. It feels like the entire head is splitting apart and as much as I try to tell myself things are under control I know it isn’t.
I know what kind of personality I have, somewhat similar to Glennis. I want things to be tip top perfect and 100% error free. I know it’s madness because I almost died while working under her but I guess that’s the way i need things to be. I can be a happy coordinator and STILL be a perfectionist.
I guess it really was a memorable experience working with Zal and Glennis because I got to learn so much from them. But of course I do think I take as much panadols as glennis smokes. Ha!
I see so many impressive people in my work everyday, I keep getting inspired to work even harder but there’s just so many issues at work that cannot be addressed that leads to the pressure build up. Sigh its sat night and I am talking about work! What a spoil sport!
Something cool I found out was a cool job exists on HAJI lane that sells very cool wallpapers! I am so going there and I will take lotsa pictures.
5 days into not buying clothes and my BIG BUDGET PLAN is still still going on strong! (FOOD is excluded, one has to eat right?)
SIMPSONS MOVIE is a much watch if I have not mentioned that before. I am so looking forward to Rush Hour Three.
